Sponsor Obligations and Event Standards
Sponsors are responsible for providing all company promotional materials as outlined in the sponsorship prospectus by 30 August 2026. Failure to provide required sponsorship will result in the omission of your material.
All sponsors are expected to uphold the MERC values and to conduct their business and event participation in a professional, respectful, and ethical manner at all times.
Sponsors must submit the following, within sixty (60) days prior to the commencement of the competition:
Certificate of Currency for:
- Public Liability Insurance
- Any additional insurance applicable to the Sponsor’s operations
Sponsors are responsible for the security and protection of their equipment during transport to and from the venue, during installation and dismantling, and throughout the duration of the event.
While the MERC Committee will provide day and night ground security, this does not replace or reduce the Sponsor’s responsibility for their own equipment.
Sponsors must take reasonable care when installing and removing equipment to prevent damage to venue grounds, marquees, structures, or any items provided by the MERC Committee.
The use of star pickets is strictly prohibited under all circumstances.
Sponsors are responsible for the removal of all waste generated during the installation and dismantling of their displays, including but not limited to, zip ties, tape, boxes, paper and plastic packaging. Due to the limited servicing, General public waste bins may not be used for sponsor-generated waste.
The MERC Committee reserved the right to alter or adjust the site layout or floor plan at any time and without prior notice. Sponsors should refer to the MERC website (www.themerc.com.au) for the latest updates and site information.
Any breach of the above obligations may result in immediate cancellation of sponsorship and removal from the event without refund.
